The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) has deployed Inspection and security Officers to Mungwi District ahead of the commencement of the physical inspection and verification of the Provisional Register of Voters, which begins tomorrow 2nd March, 2026.

The officers have been assigned to various inspection centres across Mungwi to oversee the verification exercise and assist members of the public in confirming their voter details.

The exercise is aimed at ensuring that all registered voters in the district verify the accuracy of their information before the register is finalised.

During the inspection period, voters in Mungwi will be required to check their names, National Registration Card (NRC) numbers and polling station details. The exercise also provides an opportunity to report any anomalies, including omissions, duplications or incorrect particulars.

Mungwi District Electoral Officer Dr. Mwansa Mfula has urged all eligible voters in Mungwi District to turn up at their respective verification centres with their NRCs and Voter’s cards to ensure a smooth and efficient process.

Dr Mfula has assured the public that adequate personnel have been deployed to facilitate the exercise and maintain order at all centres.

The voter verification exercise is expected to enhance transparency and strengthen public confidence in the electoral process within Mungwi District.
